Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Samsudin Hitam
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Samsudin Hitam, a Malaysian, aged 72, is currently the Chairman and a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Reliance Pacific Berhad (RPB). He was appointed to the RPB Board on 6 March 2015. He is the chairman of RPB’s Nomination Committee and member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
Tan Sri Samsudin graduated with a Bachelors of Art (Hons) in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1970. While in service with the Government, he completed his postgraduate programmes, a Masters in Agricultural Economics and a PhD in Land Resources from the Institute of Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin, USA, in 1977 and 1986, respectively.
He began his career as a Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik (PTD) at the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance in 1970. In 1986, he joined the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) as Secretary to the Economic Panel and was subsequently appointed as Director of the Macro Economic Section in 1987. During his tenure in EPU, he held various positions amongst others as the Deputy Director General (Sectoral) and Deputy Director General (Macro).
In 1998, he was appointed as the Director General of the Economic Planning Unit before moving back to the Ministry of Finance in June 2000 to take on the helm as the Secretary General of the Treasury. He was also the Chairman of the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia and member of the Board of Directors of Bank Negara Malaysia.
Tan Sri Dr Samsudin was also a director of various corporations, amongst others Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Khazanah Nasional Berhad, HICOM Holdings Berhad, Malaysia Airlines Berhad and Pos Malaysia & Services Holdings Berhad, during his tenure in the Government. He retired from the Public Service in 2004.

Dato’ Rahim Suboh
Dato’ Rahim is the Chairman of Teroka Idaman Resources and Hanitek Sdn Bhd. He has had over 36 years of working experience. Rahim’s career has predominantly been with Bank Negara Malaysia. He started his career in 1979 as an officer and held various positions mainly in operations which included managing currency consignments and also had stints in Human Resource and Training.
In November 1998, he joined Airport Coach Sdn Bhd managing operations and its Training centre. In 2004, he became Chairman of Hanitek Sdn Bhd, a position he held until today. Dato’ Rahim then joined the Ministry of Finance as Special Officer to Deputy Minister of Finance, Dato’ Dr Awang Adek Husain. He was also concurrently appointed International Advisor for Koperasi Pendidikan Islam Malaysia Bhd (UKHWAH). He then brought his experiences to the private sector where he sits in various companies involving various industries including transportation, mechanical and technical service, property development and IT systems.
Dato’ Rahim has hands-on experience in managing business operations, international JVs, and start-ups and new business units. He has managed investor, shareholder, regulator, and government relations in Malaysia and abroad. A charismatic, dynamic and a highly motivated professional with a stellar performance in both private and governmental sector, his wealth of experience enables him to lead and successfully manage challenges.
Dato’ Rahim serves as Director on the Board of Metro Exchange Sdn Bhd, Nik Hussain Holding Sdn Bhd, Timbunan Pelangi Sdn Bhd and with several public and private limited companies.
Edham Reza Shah Abdul Rahman
Edham Reza Shah is one of the leading practitioners in banking and corporate advisory and Islamic Finance & Takaful matters. Edham undertakes a wide scope of works including syndication, club deal basis, debt capital markets and Sukuk issuance. He has also led and developed the Firm’s practice in Islamic Finance Advising many major Islamic financial institutions.
Edham graduated with LLB from United Kingdom in 2002. Thereafter, he pursued the English Bar Exams and was admitted as an utter Barrister-at-Law at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn the year after whereupon he returned to Malaysia to commence pupillage under the tutelage of Syed Zaid Albar of Albar and Partners. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in June 2004 and continued practice with the same firm before joining Abdul Rahman & Partners in 2007. Whilst in practice, he obtained LLM, focusing on Islamic Banking & Takaful.
He holds the triple distinction of being named as a Leading Lawyer by the global publication Islamic Finance News in 2009, 2011 and 2012. In 2012, he was also named in the categories of Asset & Fund Management, Corporate & Commercial and Cross Border.
In recognition of his contribution to the Islamic Finance Industry, Edham has also been appointed to sit as a panel member of The Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration that Edham arbitrates on matters pertaining to Islamic Banking and Financial Services. In addition, he has also been appointed as an Associates Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and also a Commissioner for Oaths.
Edham was appointed Partner of the Firm in 2007 and became the Joint-Managing Partner of Abdul Rahman & Partners in 2017.

Noor Azizee Abd Hadi
Upon graduating in 2000, he joined Raja Salleh, Lim & Co., an audit firm as Audit Manager. He garnered vast experience in auditing accounts of small and medium sized enterprises (SME), small and medium sized industries (SMIs), listed companies, government linked organizations, corporations, and associations. He was also exposed to taxation and secretarial works while he was attached here. Other experiences include tax planning and advisory as well for personal and company taxation. He was also involved in corporate secretarial services such as registration and business incorporation, share registration, special purpose vehicle setup and professional advice on matters relating to company laws and latest developments in corporate and Bursa legislation.
In 2004, he joined Advance Synergy Capital Berhad, a publicly listed company as its Internal Audit Manager for three years. Here, he was involved in internal audit services, enterprise risk management and corporate governance advisory services for transportation industries.
In 2007 he joined KUB Malaysia Berhad, another publicly listed company for another three years to manage its internal control and governance processes. He has been in various internal audit works for various companies within the KUB Malaysia Berhad group, including property development, property management, education, oil and gas, hotel and leisure, engineering, trading, food and beverages, construction, and plantation.
Noor Azizee continues to be present in the corporate industry with capacity in finance & consultancy and currently heads Verse Advisory Sdn Bhd, a strategic boutique advisory firm. He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia. Meanwhile, he also holds 31% shareholdings in VASB.
He is a Director of Finance for Verse Group since its incorporation and serves as Company Secretary for various private limited companies that have high net worth and demands a personalized insurance and takaful requirements.

Ida Farhani Sidiq
Ms. Ida has 10 years of experience in SAP work fields and 4 years in IT consulting, equipped as a Certified SAP Solution Consultant (mySAP SCM Procurement), she specializes in SAP Materials Management (MM) module mainly focusing on Organization Structure, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Physical Inventory, Logistic Invoice Verification, Master Data, Configuration, and Valuation and Account Assignment.
Her field of expertise involved industries such as Automotive Manufacturing, Apparel and Footwear, Oil and Gas, Tobacco, Oleochemical, Food and Beverages, Trading, Pharmaceutical and Medical, Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), Household and Consumer Product, and Marine and Heavy Engineering.
Ida experienced the various SAP versions including SAP R/3 version 4.0, 4.6, 4.7, ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 and has completed 6 full-cycle project implementations, as well as many support and enhancement projects based in Malaysia, Singapore and China, including integration with other modules such as SD, FICO, PM, PP, QM, WM, BW and ABAP.
Ida’s involvement at Verse is specialising in IT consulting work including system data repository and reporting where she focuses on business IT solutions.
